We stumbled on this new product at Walmart called Quick Sticks. $5.99 for 10 tubes. They come in watermelon or sour apple. Each one is 10g. They are like a giant pixie stick. My daughter gives them two thumbs up. I like the because they are slim and easy to carry. www.quicksticks.com.

Quick Sticks makers of the easy-to-carry, flavored powder packets that provide a healthy boost of glucose for those who suffer from hypoglycemia will be supporting this year’s JDRF San Diego Walk to Cure Diabetes on November 10, 2012. As part of their campaign to “Stick it” to diabetes, the company will be providing Quick Sticks to walkers with diabetes free of charge at JDRF Walks across the country.

QS Holdings Inc. has landed national distribution for its Quick Sticks fast-dissolve glucose supplement at Walgreens and Walmart.
Quick Sticks come in boxes of a dozen 10g packets. The company said Tuesday that during October, Walgreens and Walmart will will begin stocking their shelves with Quick Sticks’ sour apple and watermelon flavors.

A line of flavored powdered packets aimed at hypoglycemia sufferers has made its way to stores nationwide.
Quick Sticks, a quick-dissolve glucose supplement developed for hypoglycemia sufferers that require a easier way to treat symptoms of low blood sugar, now will be available at Walmart and Walgreens stores stores across the United States. Launched last year, the product initially was available at select Kroger and H-E-B stores, as well as Amazon.com.

We’re always on the hunt for ways to treat low blood sugars. We use a variety of glucose tabs, gels, and of course juice boxes. We recently found Quick Sticks, which are kind of similar to the Pixie Sticks we had as kids.
Quick Sticks come in two flavors: sour apple and watermelon. Q proclaimed sour apple as her favorite, but once we ran out of the apple and only had watermelon left, she said that she likes that flavor too.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty tired of the old-school glucose tabs on the market today. Even my favorite flavor (watermelon), leaves my mouth feeling a tad chalky! It would be nice to have options. And now, we do! Both of these companies kindly sent me a sample of their products to taste and review.

Okay, so it’s 3am, you’re sweaty, disoriented, and limp as a wash-rag. You’re low. So, you grab the bottle of nasty chalky tablets and a bottle of water that sits beside your bed and hope that you don’t choke on the tablets. You muster up the energy to chew the nasty little things and follow them down with a gulp of water.
Doesn’t sound too good, right?
